Isle of Arran
Often called “Scotland in Miniature”, the Isle of Arran is a stunning island off the west coast of mainland Scotland, in the Firth of Clyde. Despite being only about 20 miles (32 km) long, it packs in an extraordinary variety of landscapes, wildlife, and heritage.

Arran is divided dramatically:

• North Arran is mountainous and rugged, dominated by Goat Fell, the island’s highest peak (874 m / 2,867 ft), popular with hikers for its panoramic views.
• South Arran is gentler, with rolling hills, farmland, and wooded glens.

The island features dramatic coastal cliffs, sandy beaches, waterfalls, and stone circles, offering a condensed version of the Scottish Highlands and Scottish Lowlands in one place.
